Accessing Voicemail

The easiest method for accessing your voicemail is to have it sent to your email. You can set this up in the Mailbox on the Dashboard, simply enter your email address when setting up the mailbox.

You can also access your messages through the Dashboard. Click the magnifying glass next to the Mailbox to download your messages. If your browser supports it, you can listen to them directly.

You can also dial in to get your voicemail. Call your DID and wait for your greeting to play. When it starts to play, press star (*) and enter your PIN. Follow the instructions to listen to your messages or change your greeting.

A note on file uploads: .wav uploads must be in the following format:

WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 8000 Hz

Fax to Email

Fax to Email is set up in two places - on Numbers and on Mailboxes. You will need to set up a Fax Mailbox. Once the mailbox is set up, have one of your numbers point to the fax.teliax.net proxy and set the destination to the mailbox you created.

Your faxes will be delivered to the email address you supplied when creating the mailbox. You can also access them through the Mailbox interface - just click the magnifying glass next to the mailbox.

Menus

You can create an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menu with 12 options (0-9, *, #) and extension dialing.

When you create a menu, your account will immediately be debited for the menu.

Set up each option by pointing it to a different destination. When a user calls in, they can press one of the options or enter one of the extensions you have set up.

You have two options for a recording - either call in, press * and enter your PIN, or upload a .wav to the menu.

A note on file uploads: .wav uploads must be in the following format:

WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 8000 Hz

Schedules are time conditions for destinations.

Let's say you're open from 8a to 5p. When people call during business hours, you want it to ring to your phones, but after hours, you want it to go to a general voicemail box.

Set up the Schedule with a time range from 08:00 to 17:00 - everything is on a 24-hour clock, Mountain time. The current time is displayed for your convenience. Set the days of the week/month and months that the schedule should pertain to.

The True destination is where calls will be routed when the time conditions match.

The False destination is where calls will be routed when the time conditions do not match.

Extensions - just like on a PBX

If you want to assign each device an extension number, you can set that up here. Have a forward you call often? You can set it up as a destination. Want quick access to a mailbox or menu? Extension.

Simply set the number and the destination. Pick up the phone, dial the extension.

Forward out to a different number

A forward is a destination object - any time you can set a destination, a forward can be used. Just enter the number. You can set a timeout and failover destination on forwards if you desire.
